Swanton Township is the home of the Oak Openings Metropark, as well as a portion of the Maumee State Forest. A significant part of the converted railroad lines known as "Rails to Trails" is found in the South portion of the township, and Valleywood Golf Club is in the Northern section. The township is served by two churches within its borders, as well as several others in close proximity. Two school systems serve our residents well - that of Swanton Local Schools and the Anthony Wayne School District. |

are several hospitals in the greater Toledo area to serve your needs. Should
you have an emergency situation, get to the nearest hospital as quickly
as possible! St.
Luke's Hospital in Maumee is the one nearest to Swanton Township,
and a link to their website is given below There are literally hundreds
of physicians and medical specialists within a 25-mile radius of
our township. If you are new to the area, obtaining recommendations
from friends or family who have lived here for a while can be helpful. In
addition, most hospitals have a physician referral service available. Check
the yellow pages of your telephone book for a listing by category
or specialty. Those residents of NW Ohio who relocate to Swanton
Township will find they have quick and easy access to their current
doctors and dentists.
