SWANTON TOWNSHIP ZONING
REGULAR MEETING
JULY 16, 2007

MEMBERS PRESENT:

Ed Snyder, Sandy Komisarek, Ron Grant, Dave Smithers, Joe Zielinski

MEMBERS ABSENT:

Becky Ziviski - Alternate

VISITORS PRESENT:

7 Signed: Troy Barman, Kim Bradford, Dennis Tippie, Julie Tippie, Jim Irmen, Cindy Irmen, Rick Rahm, Gary Heinemann-did not sign

The meeting was called to order by Chairperson Ed Snyder at 7:00 P.M. Roll was called. A motion was made by Sandy Komisarek to accept the minutes from the regular Swanton Township Zoning meeting of June 4, 2007as presented; seconded by Ron Grant. The vote was: Ed Snyder - Yes, Sandy Komisarek - Yes, Ron Grant - Yes, Dave Smithers - Yes, Joe Zielinski - Yes. Motion carried.

Motion was then made by Dave Smithers to accept the minutes of the Public Hearing regarding zoning change for parcels located at 11850, 11900, 11910, 11920 Airport Highway; seconded by Ron Grant. The vote was: Ed Snyder - Yes, Sandy omisarek - Yes, Ron Grant - Yes, Dave Smithers - Yes, Joe Zielinski - Yes. Motion carried

Old Business: Ed Snyder indicated that the information concerning the Township Land Use Plan has not been received yet.

Discussion was had concerning the old Adams Oil property. A request was made to Gary Heinemann for any correspondence from the EPA regarding a clean bill of health.

New Business: An application for zoning change was submitted by Kim Bradford regarding the property located at 12020 Airport Highway. He indicated that he is not currently in ownership of the property. Since the application needs to be signed by the legal owner, the owner will have to sign the application rather than Mr. Bradford.

The regular zoning meeting was suspended at 7:15 P.M. to open the Public Hearing.
Meeting was resumed at 7:48 P.M.

Discussion about advertising for a special meeting to be held after the regular August 13, 2007 meeting regarding wind power generation, light pollution and other topics.

Motion to adjourn was made by Ron Grant and seconded by Sandy Komisarek. The vote: Ed Snyder - Yes, Sandy Komisarek - Yes, Ron Grant - Yes, Dave Smithers - Yes, Joe Zielinski - Yes. Motion carried.
