REGULAR MEETING

The meeting was called to order by Chairperson Ed Snyder at 7:01 P.M. Roll was called. A motion was made by Dave Smithers to waive reading of the minutes from the regular Swanton Township Zoning meeting of April 9, 2007, 2007 and accept as amended; seconded by Joe Zielinski. The vote was: Ed Snyder - Yes, Sandy Komisarek - Abstained, Ron Grant - Abstained, Dave Smithers - Yes, Joe Zielinski - Yes. Motion carried.
 
Old Business: Ed Snyder indicated that the Zoning Commission is continuing to wait for the maps from the LCPC for the proposed 20A overlay.
 
New Business: Ed Snyder distributed copies of light pollution and wind generation ordinances from other townships for the members to review. He also provided the members with an article on wind generation.
 
Motion was made by Sandy Komisarek to suspend the regular meeting at 7:15 P.M.; seconded by Ron Grant. The vote was: Ed Snyder - Yes, Sandy Komisarek - Yes, Ron Grant - Yes, Dave Smithers - Yes, Joe Zielinski - Yes. Motion carried.
 
Meeting reopened at 7:17 P.M. Motion was made by Sandy Komisarek to recommend approval and adoption of the Lucas County Conservation Development Ordinance and the Riparian Setback Ordinance from the Lucas County Storm Water Standard Manual to the Swanton Township Trustees; seconded by Dave Smithers. The vote was: Ed Snyder - Yes, Sandy Komisarek - Yes, Ron Grant - Yes, Dave Smithers - Yes, Joe Zielinski - Yes. Motion carried.
 
Motion was made by Sandy Komisarek to recommend approval and adoption of the Swan Creek Pilot Watershed Project from the Lucas County Soil and Water Conservation District to the Swanton Township Trustees; seconded by Dave Smithers. The vote was: Ed Snyder - Yes, Sandy Komisarek - Yes, Ron Grant - Yes, Dave Smithers - Yes, Joe Zielinski - Yes. Motion carried. Mary Solomon commented that in past dealings with the county regarding the quarry, the LCPC informed them that they would not be supportive.
 
Motion was made by Dave Smithers to close the regular zoning meeting at 7:37 P.M.; seconded by Sandy Komisarek. The vote was: Ed Snyder - Yes, Sandy Komisarek - Yes, Ron Grant - Yes, Dave Smithers - Yes, Joe Zielinski - Yes. Motion carried
