Zoning Minutes 5-22-2006

SWANTON TOWNSHIP ZONING REGULAR MEETING MAY 22, 2006

MEMBERS PRESENT:	Sandy Komisarek, Ed Snyder, Dave Smithers, Ron Grant, Joe Zielinski

VISITORS PRESENT:	14 people signed: Cindy Irmen, Jim Irmen, Molly Maguire, Bonnie Bauman, Julie Tippie, Peggy Michael, Jeff Michael, Elizabeth Kantner, Al Mackey, Mike Uhl, Kenneth Goodenday, Jim Nowak, Gary Heinemann, Richard Giddens

The meeting was called to order by Chairperson Sandy Komisarek at 7:00 P.M. Roll was called. A motion was made by Ed Snyder to accept the minutes of the April 10, 2006 Zoning Meeting as presented and seconded by Dave Smithers. The vote was: Sandy Komisarek - Yes, Ed Snyder - Yes, Ron Grant - Abstained, Dave Smithers - Yes, Joe Zielinski - Abstained. Motion carried.

A statement was read by Dave Smithers regarding his previous employment at Air Ride, Inc. asking the Zoning Board to allow him to continue in the discussions and voting on the U.S. Alternate 20 Overlay District/Land Use Plan. Discussion was had and it was decided that Dave Smithers was able to participate in all discussions and voting regarding the U.S. Alternate 20 Overlay District/Land Use Plan.

Motion was made by Ed Snyder at 7:15 P.M. to suspend the regular meeting and open the Public Hearing regarding the proposed overlay of U.S. 20A. Seconded by Ron Grant. The vote was: Sandy Komisarek - Yes, Ed Snyder - Yes, Ron Grant - Yes, Dave Smithers - Yes, Joe Zielinski - Yes. Motion carried.

Motion was made by Ed Snyder to adjourn the regular meeting at 8:35 P.M. and was seconded by Dave Smithers. The vote was: Sandy Komisarek - Yes, Ed Snyder - Yes, , Ron Grant - Yes, Dave Smithers - Yes, Joe Zielinski - Yes. Motion carried.
